PURPOSE: To reduce the generation of a backlash by using a planetary differential gear speed reducer of a special structure and constructing it in a way that the almost whole teeth of external teeth formed at the outer circumference of a pinion are usually engaged with internal teeth provided at the internal circumference of a hub.
CONSTITUTION: The rotation of the output shaft of a driving motor 3, i.e. the input rotary shaft 11 of a reduction gear is speed-reduced and transmitted to the secondary external gear 43 via the first external gear 41 engaged therewith fixed to the shaft 11 according to the tooth-number-ratio of both gears 41, 43. Revolution is generated by the rotation of the external gear 43 at the crank portion 31a of a crank pin 31 both ends of which are rotatably held by a holding block 13. A pinion 33, since the pin hole of which is engaged with the crank portion 31a via a bearing 35, is eccentrically revoluted by the revoution of the crank portion 31a. External teeth 33a formed at the outer circumference of the pinion 33 are engaged with a pin gear formed at the inner circumference of a hub 37 by the eccentric revolution of the pinion 33 so as to speed-reduce and rotate the hub 37. An automatic tool exchange device is driven by a sprocket 7 fitted thereto.
