PURPOSE: To increase the number of transferable tools for a tool transfer magazine as used in a machining center, etc. by slidably supporting upper and lower pot plates on guide bars, and adjoining pots on the upper and lower pot plates on a same plane.

CONSTITUTION: Guide bars 11a,11b are erected on top of the base 10 of a tool transferring magazine 19, and upper port plates 12a,12b are slidably formed in the axial direction on the guide bars 11a,11b. A recess 26 is formed in respective upper pot plates 12a,12b, and a pot 13 to hold a tool 20 is formed at the end edge of projected parts. Furthermore, lower plates 14a,14b are slidably formed in the axial direction on the guide bars 11a,11b. On the lower plates 14a,14b, lower pot plates 16a,16b are formed, which are arranged on the projections of the upper pot plates 12a,12b through vertical plates 15a,15b. The upper pot plats 12a,12b and the lower pot plates 16a,16b are arranged adjacent on a same plane. A pot 27 is formed at the tips of the lower pot plates 16a,16b.
