Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of an electrophoretic display device which improves history erasure performance, and the electrophoretic display device.SOLUTION: There are provided an electrophoretic display device and a driving method of the same. The driving method includes: an erasure driving step; and a gradation display driving step of erasing a current image, and then performing gradation display of the next image. In the erasure driving step, if T1 is defined as a time required for 10% completion of display color change when a voltage (V1) having a polarity for switching from one limit color display state to the other limit color display state is applied, an erasure pulse has a voltage-time integration value greater than a voltage-time integration value (E1) corresponding to a product of the voltage (V1) and the time (T1).
