Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a driver to intuitively recognize a timing at which a travel mode of a hybrid vehicle is switched.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle has an internal combustion engine 20 and an electric motor 22 mounted on it and can switch between an EV travel mode in which it travels with the internal combustion engine 20 being stopped and a hybrid travel mode in which it travels with the internal combustion engine 20 being driven. Switching from the EV travel mode to the hybrid travel mode is performed when a driving power amount Pveh of the electric motor 22 according to a required output from the driver has become not less than a mode switching threshold value Pmax. When the difference between the mode switching threshold value Pmax and the driving power amount Pveh has become not greater than a display start threshold value Ps, a display mode of a display part 12 is made to change in accordance with the magnitude of the difference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
