Abstract:
To prevent the timing of starting a vehicle behavior generated at the time of automated driving from making a driver feel uncomfortable.SOLUTION: In a driving assistance method, whether a vehicle traveling scene is a predetermined target scene is determined (S2, S11), a driving operation performed by a driver in the target scene is detected (S3), and any one of vehicle behaviors generated by the detected driving operation or the driving operation is stored (S5). Further, variations of the timing of starting the driving operation performed by the driver in the target scene are calculated (S6). At the time of automated driving, a vehicle behavior is generated based on one of the driving operation or the vehicle behavior stored when a behavior intention of the driver is detected while the vehicle is traveling in the target scene (S15), and the timing of starting the vehicle behavior in the target scene is accelerated within the range of the calculated variations (S14).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
