PURPOSE: To suppress an ununiform speed-rotation of a roll by holding an adequate engaging condition of gears, thereby producing a high quality product, to reduce the product cost by improving an operation efficiency at the time of exchanging plating devices, to eliminate the limitation of depth of the roll from a plating bath surface and to reduce the surface area of a bath in a driving transmitter of a hot dip-plating device.
CONSTITUTION: The driving transmitter 20 of a pressing roll 14 is provided with a motor 21 horizontally installed on a floor 16 outside the hot dip-plating bath 10, a perpendicular spindle 22, whose upper end is positioned outside the bath 10 and lower end is positioned inside the bath 10, an uniform speed- connecting device 23 transmitting the rotation of the motor 21 to the upper end of the perpendicular spindle 22 with a nearly equal speed, a pair of straight bevel gears 24a, 24b connecting the lower end of the perpendicular spindle 22 with a roll bearing 18 at the shaft end of the press-roll 14, a core aligning mechanism 25 absorbing the vertical motion of the perpendicular spindle 22 and correcting the axial deviation of a pair of bevel gears 24a, 24b.
