Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel implantable intracranial device which can at least partially overcome the difficulty of delivering therapeutic agents to specific regions of the brain so as to treat schizophrenia.SOLUTION: Provided are an implantable intracranial device for the delivery of a pharmaceutically active agent for treating schizophrenia, the device comprising: a pharmaceutically active agent which is an antipsychotic agent for treating schizophrenia; a polymer nano-liposhell formed of polycaprolactone, a pharmaceutically active agent, and ω-3 fatty acid; a porous polymer matrix which is incorporated with a polymer nano-liposhell, and formed of ethyl cellulose and alteration polyamide 6 and 10, and a method for producing the same.
