To provide a drum shear capable of easily replacing a knife.
The drum shear includes a pair of rotating drums 2 provided to be rotatable oppositely across a strip S which is being carried, a groove 8 extending in an axial direction of a rotating drum 2 on the outer peripheral surface of the drum 2, a knife 9 detachably provided in the groove 8, a wedgelike fixing block 10 for fixing the knife 9 to the drum 2, a bolt 13 having one end coupled with the fixing block 10 and the other end coupled with the rotating drum 2 thereby applying pressing force to the knife 9 via the block 10, and a cylinder 19 concentrically provided with the bolt 13 in the drum 2 and stretching a cylinder rod 20 by means of hydraulic pressure when the bolt 13 is loosened, thereby releasing the pressing force to move the fixing block 10 outward from the groove 8.
