PURPOSE: To eliminate an unevenness of a washing process period of time and the reduction of a washing capability due to contamination or washing scum for a drum type washing/drying machine with a sensor which discriminates the fouling degree of washing water.
CONSTITUTION: A drum type washing/drying machine main body is provided with a circulation hose 6 in which washing water flows, a filter 5 which is located on the path of the circulation hose 6, and filters and traps lint or foreign object mixed in the washing water when the washing water flows, and a brush 5a arranged in the filter 5 therein. Then, linking with the takeout or installing operation of the filter 5, the brush 5a slides in a sensor 15 and removes foul adhering to the surfaces of a light-emitting element 15a and light-receiving element 15b. By this motion, an variability of a washing process period of time and the reduction of a washing capability due to foul or washing scum adhering to the inside of the sensor 15 can be eliminated.
