Abstract:
To provide a small scale dryer for converting a food residue to resources capable of uniformly drying the whole food residue while suppressing odor, and a drying method for converting a food residue to resources.SOLUTION: A dryer 10 for converting a food residue to resources, comprises a drying tank 30 into which a food residue is to be charged, an agitator 40 agitating a food residue with agitation blades 41 in the drying tank 30, and a blower 50 blowing outdoor air as drying air to the drying tank 30, namely to a food residue being agitated in the drying tank 30. Since the blower 50 blows outdoor air as it is as drying air to a food residue stored in the drying tank 30, a heater for preparing hot drying air is not required, whereby strong odor generated by heating a food residue can be suppressed. A driver rotating the entire drying tank 30 is not required, since a food residue is uniformly dried by being agitated by the agitator 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
