To provide a dryer which can excellently dry clothes to be dried housed in a drum regardless of a mass of clothes.
When a mass of clothes C to be dried housed in a drum 3 is less than a reference mass, the drum 3 is rotated by a standard revolution number. On the other hand, when the mass of clothes C exceeds the reference mass, the drum 3 is rotated in a higher speed revolution number than a standard revolution number. Thereby, when the drum 3 is rotated in a high speed for a larger mass of clothes C, agitation performance of a baffle 6 is improved to easily agitate the clothes C in the drum 3. When the clothes C are well agitated in the drum 3, heat exchange between heated air passing in the drum 3 and the clothes C is excellently carried out to improve drying efficiency.
