To provide a drying apparatus with reduction in drying speed prevented.
A circulation duct 37 circulates dry air blown on a photosensitive material 10a in the drying apparatus 31. A temperature sensor 51 is disposed near the inlet of the circulation duct 37 to detect the temperature of the circulating air. A controller 53 receives temperature information on circulating air from the temperature sensor 51 and controls a heater 36, on the basis of the temperature information to regulate the temperature of dry air. Even if the temperature of circulating air decreases, when the size of the photosensitive material 10a is changed or a large amount of photosensitive materials 10a are processed, the decrease in the temperature of circulating air is immediately detected, and the temperature of dry air can be increased. Dry air is therefore kept at a constant temperature, and drying of the photosensitive material 10a is stabilized, independently of the number and size. Reduction in drying speed can also be prevented.
