To provide a drying apparatus which does not cause drying unevenness and stably conveys a photosensitive material.

A dry air blowing board 46 is provided with columns of blow-off holes 46a lined up at prescribed intervals in the conveying direction of the photosensitive material. In each of the columns of the blow-off holes 46a, the blow-off holes are spaced a smaller interval away from the adjacent blow-off holes in the front part A1 of the dry air blowing board 46 near a dry air supply port 47 and the blow-off holes are spaced a larger interval away from the adjacent blow-off holes in the rear part A2 of the dry air blowing board 46 further from the dry air supply port 47. In the front part A1, the velocity of the blown off dry air is lower however the ratio of the opening area occupying per unit area of the board is greater, whereas in the rear part A2, the velocity of the blown off dry air is higher however the ratio of the opening area occupying the per unit area is smaller. As a result, the quantity of the dry air blown off in any region of an outer surface 46e of the dry air blowing board 46 is made about the same, and the dry air is blown uniformly to the surface of the photosensitive material 10.
