PURPOSE: To prevent the reduction of the drying speed at a low temperature and improve the feeling of dried objects after drying by providing a drying chamber housing objects to be dried, a refrigerator and in addition an auxiliary heater in a cabinet and exciting the auxiliary heater to increase the temperature in the drying chamber at a low temperature.
CONSTITUTION: The air blown out through a blowout port 12b by a blower 9 contains the moisture evaporated from objects to be dried and is sucked to an air duct 12 through an intake port 12a and passes an evaporator 6, air is cooled and moisture is condensed, the dehydrated air passes a condenser 7 and is heated again. When the temperature detected by the temperature detecting section 14 of a thermostat is lower than the preset temperature, the contact section 15 of the thermostat is closed, an auxiliary heater 13 is excited. The air heated by the condenser 7 again is heated by the auxiliary heater 13 and fed into a drying chamber 1a again by the blower 9. The relative humidity of the air heated by the auxiliary heater 13 is further decreased, evaporation of objects to be dried is accelerated, the reduction of the drying speed due to the temperature decrease is prevented, the temperature of objects to be dried themselves is increased, thus the feeling after drying is improved.
