To dry articles to be dried automatically without any variety by a method wherein air is passed through the articles to be dried while moving an article to be dried putting means and circulating air.

The left side and right side of a vessel 1 are supported by retaining devices 4, 5. Transporting rings 6, 7 for the horizontal movement of the vessels 1 are constituted of chains and are driven by a motor connected through rotary shafts 32, 33. Further, the transporting rings 6, 7 are equipped with pushing boards 8, 9 while the pushing boards 8, 9 push and move the vessels 1 by the turning of the transporting rings 6, 7. In this case, articles to be dried are received in the vessels 1 and the vessels 1 are set in a drying chamber while steam type heat exchanger as well as a fan are started to start the supply of hot air. The temperature, air volume and the like of hot air are set by operating a control panel. Then, the transporting ring 3 is turned so as to move the vessels 1 upward and the transporting ring 2 is turned so as to move the vessels 1 downward to start the movement of the vessels 1. In this case, these movements are controlled by detecting them through a detecting means.
