PURPOSE: To shorten the drying time and improve productivity by loading a raw grindstone onto a surface plate having an air vent and loading a cover member and supplying hot compressed air from the surface of the grindstone and discharging the air from the air vent, passing through the raw grindstone.
CONSTITUTION: A raw grindstone W for grinding which has a doughnut-shaped disc form is molded, and a surface plate 13 having said grindstone loaded is transferred and loaded onto the upper surface of an exhaust board 7 installed onto an elevating table 3, positioning a concaved part 11 and air vent 12 to a penetration hole 6. Then, the elevating table 3 is raised by the extension operation of a clamp cylinder 2, and the upper surface of the exhaust board 7 is pressed airtightly onto the under surface of a covering member 15 through a packing 16, and hot air is supplied into the covering member 15 continually for 1min. from a compressed air tank 17. Then, the hot air is introduced into the raw grindstone W from the whole surface of the raw grindstone W, and the raw grindstone W is dried up to a water content of 0.06wt% or so. Therefore, the drying process which requires 24W28hr in the conventional drying furnace is reduced to about 10min.
