Abstract:

To realize communication utilizing the same wide frequency band as that in a downstream also in an upstream, and hence speed up the upstream.

In this communication control method between DSL modem devices 2 coupled via a metallic cable, one DSL modem device 2 simultaneously transmits transmission data by a plurality of sub-carriers, and the other DSL modem device decodes the transmission data from the plurality of sub-carriers. Both the DSL modem devices 2 alternately switch a transmission time slot and a reception time slot synchronously with each other, and transmit/receive the data signals with each other by using the sub-carriers of the same range. Also, a carrier index of the same range as that of the downstream being data transmission from a center side toward a remote side is used in the upstream working as data transmission from the remote side toward the center side.
