The air conditioner outdoor unit comprises the heat exchanger 24, and the fan motor 28 for blowing air for the heat exchange of the heat exchanger 24. The dust removing method for the heat exchanger in the air conditioner outdoor unit comprises determining the start or stop of the air conditioner outdoor unit 10, and reversing the rotating direction of the fan motor 28 at the start or stop of the air conditioner outdoor unit 10 to remove dust accumulated on the heat exchanger 28.
