Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent entry of dust to eliminate contact failure of a switch, and enhance the value and reliability of an electric power tool or the like by installing a dustproof cover between a switch main body and a switching lever.
CONSTITUTION: A dustproof cover 9 is arranged on an upper surface of a switch main body 2 so as to cover the whole of at least through hole 3 for a boss 4. The cover 9 covers the through hole 3 of the main body 2 so as to be capable of rotating, is made of a plastic disk body having a rotating axis for fitting in the central part, and the through hole passing through in the upper and lower direction is formed in the disk body so as to be capable of inserting the tip of the boss 4. The through hole is set so that when the boss 4 is inserted, a gap between the through hole and outer circumference of the boss 4 is made small as much as possible to prevent entry of dust through the gap. A circumferential wall protruding toward the main body 2 side along an outer circumferential edge of the cover 9 is formed, and a circumferential groove corresponding to a circumferential wall is formed on the main body 2 side to surely prevent entry of dust.
