Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye which generates little foreign matter, is capable of forming a color filter having high quality and excellent heat resistance, is used for a colored curable resin composition, and is excellent in solubility in an organic solvent.SOLUTION: The dye has a group containing a silicon atom and has a squarylium skeleton. The dye is preferably a compound represented by formula (II). (Rand Rare each independently H, a halogen atom, a hydroxy group, or an optionally substituted 1-20C monovalent saturated hydrocarbon group; Rand Rare each independently H or a hydroxy group; and one of Rand Ris a group containing silicon and the other is H, an optionally substituted 1-20C monovalent saturated hydrocarbon group, or the like.)
