Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR flow rate estimation device for an internal combustion engine and a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of estimating EGR flow rate in higher accuracy while keeping cooperation between an EGR valve and an intake and exhaust VVT.SOLUTION: To enable an EGR valve opening degree and also a right characteristic of effective opening area to be maintained, a variation or secular change and further environmental condition to be absorbed while an EGR valve and an intake exhaust VVT are being cooperated and EGR flow rate to be accurately estimated by feed-back controlling a target EGR rate calculated to perform correction to keep a total EGR rate constant on the basis of an inner EGR rate and target outer and inner EGR rates, and EGR valve opening degree on the basis of an EGR effective opening area studying a relation between EGR valve opening degree and effective opening area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
