Abstract:
To provide a earth and sand transport method for transporting earth and sand over a further long distance by a sand discharge pipe, and carrying the earth and sand without precipitating gravel having the particle size of 2 to about 5 mm and including no silt and clay content by using a means instead of a relay pump.
Only water is sent in the sand discharge pipe 1, and a plug flow is generated in the pipe by gradually injecting compressed air A into the pipe. The earth and sand 3 is carried by the plug flow by supplying earth and sand slurry in the sand discharge pipe 1 by starting dredging of the earth and sand 3 in a plug flow stable state.
