Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a brake equipment which suitably provides information regarding actual braking torque and/or usable braking torque with ease.
CONSTITUTION: This braking equipment is equipped with a stator assembly 1 and a rotor assembly 2, which are fitted onto the transmission shaft of a vehicle, and the assembly 2 includes an inductor winding 3 and the other assembly includes an armature 6 facing the inductor winding 3. This device is further equipped with an excitation device 9, which selectively excites the inductor winding 3 from a power source 8 of the vehicle according to the power supply settings. A processor device is provided, so as to predict braking torque values Cp1 and Cp11-Cp14 which can given as a function of at least one value among the rotating speed V of the rotor assembly 2, the temperature Tr of the armature 6, the temperature Ts of the inductor winding 3, and the power supply settings.
