To provide a method for forming an edge end face shape with no burrs or no corners by efficiently crushing the burrs or the corners formed at a side end face of a metal strip sheared by a slitter without causing bending or buckling at a metal plate itself.
When crushing the burrs or the corners formed during slitting by passing the metal strip slit with the slitter between a pair of metal rolls and allowing both plate side edges in the whole longitudinal direction of the metal strip to be subjected to rolling reduction in a plate width direction, the end face with no burrs or no corners of the metal strip slit with the slitter is obtained using metal rollers formed with a groove having a tilt to allow a side with the curvature of the end face of a metal strip to be processed to be perpendicular to a roller rotation axis direction and a bottom part to be narrowed at the side with the burrs or the corners of end face of the metal strip to be processed as the pair of the metal rollers.
