To provide a method for stably removing burrs and angles which are formed during the slitting by always pressing metallic rolls at an arbitrarily fixed pressure to the metallic strip even when there is variation in the width of the metallic strip.
When applying treatment for crushing the burrs and the angles which are formed during the slitting by reducing the edges on both sides of the plate in the entire area in the longitudinal direction of the metallic strip by passing the metallic strip which is slitted with a slitter through between a pair of metallic rolls, by providing a pressurizing means on one side of the pair of metallic rolls, the metallic rolls are pressed against both sides of the metallic strip to be processed always at the fixed pressure.
