This ejection mechanism 10 of the film cartridge is provided with a cartridge chamber cover 2 to be pivotally supported on the camera main body 1 and capable of opening/closing the cartridge chamber 5, an ejection lever 11 to be freely movable in the up and down directions of the camera main body 1 and having a contact part 11b contactable with an inclined surface 2b formed on the cartridge chamber cover 2 on its tip and spring 12 to constantly energize the ejection lever 11 in the up and down directions. And when the cartridge chamber cover 2 is opened, the contact part 11b on the tip of the ejection lever 11 opens the cartridge chamber cover 2 by extruding it downward by emerging force of the spring 12, and thus the film cartridge 21 is taken out from the cartridge chamber 5.
