Abstract:
To provide an EL display device preventing the loss of electric power consumption when an EL element emits light.
The EL display device is equipped with the EL element formed so as to face an insulating substrate; an electrode formed on the insulating substrate side of the EL element along the EL element in order to supply a current for emitting the EL element to the EL element; a shadow mask film formed at a part of the surface on the EL element side of the insulating substrate; a thin film transistor formed on the shadow mask film to drive the EL element; and an insulating film formed between the electrode and the EL element so as to cover a region where the shadow mask film is projected on the EL element.
