Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the tube for medical treatment which is simple in production, has no possibility of the generation of elusion and hardly allows the pickup of bubbles on its inside wall or allows the easy desorption of the bubbles even if the bubbles stick to the inside surface by constituting the tube for medical treatment of an olefinic resin compounded with a nonionic surfactant of a fatty acid ester type at a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The tube for medical treatment is constituted of the olefinic resin compounded with 0.02 to 5.0 pts.wt. nonionic surfactant of the fatty acid ester type. The wettability of the inside wall of the tube is increased by the influence of the surfactant compounded with the resin which is a base material to substantially prevent the pickup of the bubbles thereon. The bubbles are easily desorbable even if the bubbles stick on the inside wall of the tube. Since the nonionic surfactant of the fatty acid ester type is compounded with the olefinic resin, the elusion is substantially prevented and the inside surface of the tube is less changed with lapse of time. Since the bubbles do not stick to the inside wall of the tube, the flow rate does not change and the stable flow rate is assured.
