PURPOSE: To correctly measure the elastic force of an elastic body such as fur, by installing legs for supporting a base board on the undersurface of a base board and measuring the load acting on a measurement element which projects downward from the undersurface of the base board, by a load meter.

CONSTITUTION: An elasticity measuring device is constituted of three legs 20 installed under a disk-shaped base board 10, measurement element 30 projecting downward from the undersurface of the base board 10, and a load meter 40 for measuring the load acting on the measuring element 30. At the lower edge of the measurement element 30, a measuring plate having a horizontal surface 31a is installed, and the load meter 40 having a dial 41 is connected with the measurement element 30. The projection length of the leg 20 is adjusted so that the reading of the load meter 40 in the state where the horizontal surface 31a of the measuring plate is placed on the upper surface of a levelling device is made constant. Then, if the leg 20 is uniformly pressed and brought into contact with the surface of the skin 61 of a fur 60, the horizontal surface 31a of the measuring plate come into contact with the upper part of the fur 62 and pressed downward, and the force of both are balanced, and the position where the horizontal surface 31a stops is read out from the position of the pointer of the dial 41.
