Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrocarbon resin providing an elastomer composition for tire which is excellent in workability and has excellent balance between rolling resistance and wet grip performance.SOLUTION: A hydrocarbon resin contains an aliphatic monomer unit and an aromatic monomer unit, where a content in the aromatic monomer unit of a monomer unit having such a structure two or more cyclic structures in the aromatic monomer unit are bonded to each other is 50 mass% or more, the number average molecular weight (Mn) is in a range of 400-3,000, the weight average molecular weight (Mw) is in a range of 700-6,000, the Z average molecular weight (Mz) is in a range of 1,500-20,000, a ratio (Mw/Mn) of the weight average molecular weight to the number average molecular weight is in a range of 1.0-4.0, a ratio (Mz/Mw) of the Z average molecular weight to the weight average molecular weight is in a range of 1.0-4.0, and a softening point is in a range of 80-150°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
