Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy and economical production of an elbow-type electrode, to make it possible to cope with a partial damage at a low cost and to improve durability of an elbow-type electrode.
SOLUTION: The elbow-type electrode 5 comprises an attachment part 5a to be engaged with an electrode holder 4, an offset part 5b to secure an offset amount and a tip part 5c to contact with a work W to be welded, each of which is prepared as a separate member. The attachment part 5a and the offset part 5b have a vertical hole 8 and a horizontal hole 7 respectively, and the offset part 5b has also an axial hole 10. These vertical hole 8, horizontal hole 7 and axial hole 10 are used as a cooling channel, into which a water supply tube 11 is inserted. Beveling or rounding work is applied on a corner c where the vertical hole 8 and the horizontal hole 7 intersect.
