To provide an electric blind control system and control method, capable of reducing limitation of an installation position of equipment in a room while preventing reduction in control accuracy for an electric blind.SOLUTION: A control system for a horizontal type electric blind 4 installed at an aperture 61 of a building comprises: an imaging device 2 installed between the aperture 61 and the electric blind 4 at a ceiling 60 in a room of the building to image at least one or some of slats 41 of the electric blind 4; and a control device that acquires a generated picture imaged by the imaging device 2 and, on the basis of a gradation value or brightness value in a slat area, an area corresponding to the slats 41 in the generated picture, controls the degree of opening of the electric blind 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
