Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact material for a circuit breaker and an electromagnetic switch which enables the materialization of an electric contact capable of keeping welding resistance and wear resistance while retaining the stability of contact resistance.SOLUTION: An electric contact comprises a pair of contact material parts opposed to each other, of which one contact material part is made of a Ag oxide-based alloy consisting of 3-10 mass% of Sn, 1-10 mass% of In, and the balance including Ag, and fabricated by an internal oxidation process, and the other is made of a Ag alloy consisting of 0.1-20 mass% of Ni, 1-30 mass% of W and/or WC, and the balance including Ag, and fabricated by a powder sintering process.
