Abstract:

To provide a technology to easily minimize the electric discharge energy of fine electric discharge machining using static discharge feed.

This electric discharge machining device connecting a capacitor in parallel to a clearance between a tool electrode and a work is constituted in electric discharge machining to machine the work by generating electric discharge in the clearance between the tool electrode and the work by making the tool electrode face the work through the fine clearance with a machining medium liquid interposed in it, connecting one terminal of an electric discharge machining electric power source to the work, connecting the other terminal of the electric power source to a cylindrical feeding electrode having a coaxial clearance not generating the electric discharge between itself and the tool electrode, feeding electricity by generating electrostatic induction between the feeding electrode and the tool electrode and between the tool electrode and the work by outputting a surging electric discharge machining voltage from the electric power source and generating the electric discharge in the clearance between the tool electrode and the work.
