Abstract:
To provide a new electric driving device and a steering device using the electric driving device, which can avoid a metallic cover from being damaged and inhibit water or the like from flowing inside the metallic cover when the electric driving device is fixed to a surface of a rack housing, which faces a road surface.SOLUTION: A work-hardening shape portion 39 on which work-hardening occurs is formed in a region 38, facing at least a road surface, of a metallic cover 12 covering an electronic control unit 9. Since the work-hardening shape portion 39 on which work-hardening occurs is formed in the region 38, facing at least a road surface, of the metallic cover 12 covering the electronic control unit 9, the metallic cover 12 can be avoided from being damaged even at the time of an impact of a flying stone, and water or the like can be inhibited from flowing from a damaged portion of the metallic cover 12 inside thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
