Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric dust collector which can improve collection efficiency when a plate-like member of a dust collecting electrode is installed in a direction nearly orthogonal to a gas flow.SOLUTION: An electric dust collector comprises a discharge electrode 2 which has a discharge spike 6 of projection form and performs corona discharge and a dust collecting electrode 3 which has a permeability-free plate-like member 7 and is installed by facing the discharge spike 6. The plate face of the plate-like member 7 of the dust collecting electrode 3 is disposed nearly orthogonally to gas flows flowing toward the dust collecting electrode 3. The discharge electrode 2 is installed upstream of the gas flow with respect to the dust collecting electrode 3 to discharge to the upstream side face of the plate-like member 7 of the dust collecting electrode 3. When the distance between ends between two adjacent plate-like members 7 installed within the same plane is a, and the width of the plate-like member is W, the relation of 0.1≤a/(a+W)≤0.5 is established.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
