To provide an electric lock enabled to be miniaturized by reducing the number of detectors.

An electric lock comprises: a case 21; a motor 22 housed in the case 21; a screw shaft 23 connected to an output shaft of the motor 22 and having a male screw; a slider 24 having a female screw engageable on the male screw of the screw shaft 23, and linearly moving in the shaft line direction of the screw shaft 23 by rotating the screw shaft 23 around its shaft line by the motor 22; and a dead bolt 11 linked with the linear motion of the slider 24. When the slider 24 moves to an end of the shaft line direction of the screw shaft 23, the slider 24 and the screw shaft 23 are disengaged from each other. A spring 27 is provided for urging the female screw of the disengaged slider 24 to the male screw of the screw shaft 23.
