Abstract:
To provide a brush for an electric motor with a low noise.SOLUTION: A brush used for contacted to a commutator, includes a brush main body including two opposite axial direction end surfaces and a projection part projected to the commutator from the brush main body. The projection part includes a first surface, a second surface, and at least two teeth. The first surface and the second surface are adjacent to two axial direction end surfaces. An angle formed by the first and second surfaces and corresponded adjacent axial direction end surface is an obtuse angle. Each tooth is positioned between the first and second surfaces, and is almost extended along a peripheral direction of the commutator. A ratio of a total width of at least two teeth in an axial direction of the brush and the height of the axial direction of the brush main body is set within a range of 0.25 to 0.75.
