To provide an electric motor and an electric motor manufacturing method capable of downsizing while maintaining a high space factor.SOLUTION: An electric motor includes a rotor set including a shaft, and a stator set with a plurality of divided core sets, and each of the plurality of divided core sets includes winding, a first end and a second end of the winding extend along the longitudinal direction of the shaft, and from among the plurality of divided core sets, 3×n (n is a natural number) divided core sets are reversed by 180° in the longitudinal direction of the shaft with respect to the remaining divided core sets.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
