Title:
ELECTRIC MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008048502
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To increase the deflective strength and the magnetic flux density of the stator core of an electric motor and to reduce its iron loss.

The stator core 11 of the electric motor 1 includes an annular yoke 14 and multiple teeth 15. A coil housing groove 19 is formed at both ends 11a, 11b of the stator core 11 in the axial direction S. Each of the teeth 15 has a pair of first portions 20 including the bottom and the inner wall of each groove 19 and a second portion 21 disposed between the first portions 20. A split core 16 has the first and second portions 20, 21 and a yoke piece 17. The first portions 20 are formed of a sintered body as a material different from those of the remaining portions 21, 17 and containing magnetic powder 11m. This material has a relatively high deflective strength. The second portion 21 is formed of a material having a relatively high saturation magnetic flux density. The yoke piece 17 is formed of a material relatively low in iron loss.
