PURPOSE:To reduce varieties in the air-conditioning state of a room and prevent the deterioration of circulation in the room, by a method wherein a stopped machine determining means, receiving a demand signal outputted from a demand signal generating means, is operated so as to output a stop demanding data to a machine starting and stopping means. CONSTITUTION:When a demand signal is generated, a stopped machine determining means 3 selects machines to be stopped among air-conditioning machines 5a-5d. In this case, when the order of stopping is supposed to be the order of the air-conditioning machines 5a-5d, the air-conditioning machine 5a is selected as the machine to be stopped at first. Then, a demand data for stopping the air-conditioning machine 5a is outputted to a machine starting and stopping means 4. When the stop demanding data is inputted into the machine starting and stopping means 4, a stop command is sent to the air-conditioning machine 5a through a control wire 6. When the amount of used power becomes lower than the specified value of electric power due to the stopping of the air-conditioning machine 5a, the demand signal is released after a given period of time has elapsed and the stopped machine determining means 3 outputs the re-start demanding data of the stopped machine to the machine starting and stopping means 4 in accordance with the release of the demand signal whereby the machine starting and stopping means 4 sends a re-start demand to the air-conditioning machine 5a.
