To provide an electric power source system utilizing a molten salt battery, which makes it possible to drive a load immediately after activating the system.
An electric power source system 1 comprises a first power source (a power storage device) 11 allowing a charge/discharge of electricity at a normal temperature, a second power source (a molten salt battery unit) 12 including one or more molten salt batteries 31 allowing the charge/discharge of electricity when an electrolyte being solid at the normal temperature is molten at a temperature not less than a melting point, and a control section 15. The control section 15 causes the first power source 11 to drive a load 4 in the case where an operation condition of the second power source 12 is not satisfied, and causes the second power source to drive the load 4 in the case where the operation condition is satisfied.
