Abstract:

To provide an electric power tool which can reduce the possibility of noise generation.SOLUTION: A hammer drill as an example of an electric power tool has a motor housing, a field and armature for a motor, two brushes, and a brush holder unit (BHU). The field is fixed to the motor housing and has a plurality of field coils. The armature is rotatable relative to the field and has a commutator. Each brush can come into contact with the commutator. The BHU holds each brush. The BHU comprises: two contact rails 82 connected with corresponding field coils; two first terminals 92 capable of being brought into contact with either of the contact rails 82; two second terminals 94 electrically connected with the corresponding brushes; and a choke coil 96 interposed between the first terminals 92 and the second terminals 94.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
