Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an electric vehicle having a motor and a transmission, which eliminates any clutch for connecting the motor to the transmission to simplify its constitution, and suppress any increase in weight and/or cost.SOLUTION: The control device of the electric vehicle includes the motor mounted on the vehicle, a motor output control means for controlling the output of the motor according to the opening of an accelerator pedal to be operated at least by a driver, and the transmission having an engagement type clutch for changing a plurality of gear change stage gears when a speed change instruction is given. The motor output control means controls the output of the motor to zero or a predetermined value in a vicinity thereof (S18) when the speed change instruction is given (S12), and before the engagement type clutch changes the plurality of gear change stage gears (S20 to S26).
