Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for efficiently using production of electricity of a solar battery in relation to an electric vehicle with a solar battery.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle 2 disclosed in the present specification includes: a solar battery 3; a main battery 6 storing electric power supplied to a motor for travel; an auxiliary battery 13 storing electric power supplied to auxiliary machinery; a first charging device; a second charging device; and a controller 5. The first charging device is a generic term of devices necessary to charge the main battery 6 with electric power output from the solar battery 3. The second charging device is a generic term of devices necessary to charge the auxiliary battery 13 with the electric power output from the solar battery 3. The controller 5 drives the first charging device to charge the main battery 6 if the electric power output from the solar battery 3 is higher than consumption electric power of the first charging device, and drives the second charging device to charge the auxiliary battery 13 if the electric power output from the solar battery 3 is lower than the consumption electric power of the first charging device and higher than consumption electric power of the second charging device.
