To eliminate conventional troublesome works of welding reinforcing bars together or of fastening them with bolts and nuts for sure electrical mutual connection needed to use the reinforcing bar as a grounding wire, a drop conductor for a lightning protection system or a grounding electrode.
An electrically connecting metal fitting for the reinforcing bar is structured as follows. Namely, a windingly fixing part 4 surrounding an outer periphery of the reinforcing bar 3 is provided at an end part of a belt-shaped electric conductor 2. The windingly fixing part includes a winding element 5 provided at the end part of the electric conductor and a holding part 6 provided at a front end of the winding element. Engaging pieces 7 are mounted in a protruding manner on both sides of a part of the electric conductor where the holding part faces when the winding element is wound around the reinforcing bar. The engaging pieces having an engaging part narrower than the width of the holding part have first engaging claws 9, respectively, which are mounted on the upper part of the engaging pieces to protrude inward. The engaging pieces also have second engaging claws 10 mounted to protrude downward to the position where the distance between the front ends becomes narrower than the width of the holding part.
