Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the generation of burr even in the case of cutting works formed of a ductile material layer and a hard material layer to prolong the service life.
SOLUTION: The mixture powder of small granular diameter diamonds 13 and large granular diameter diamonds 14 are distributed for arrangement as the super abrasive 15 in a metallic binder phase 12. A mean granular diameter of the small granular diameter diamonds 13 is set at 10-70% of the mean granular diameter of the large granular diameter diamonds 14. The super abrasives 15 are set at 5-35 vol.% of the metallic binder phase 12. The small granular diameter diamonds 13 is set at 5-50 vol.% of the super abrasives 15. A mean granular diameter of the large granular diameter diamonds 14 is set at 10-100 μm.
