Title:
OPTICAL WAVELENGTH DIVISION MULTIPLEX SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3791398
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical wavelength division multiplex system in which a line out of a working target can not be damaged by not requiring the manual output cut-off operation of a transmitting transponder when disconnecting an optical connector between wavelength demultiplexers connected with receiving amplifiers and receiving transponders.
SOLUTION: An output cut-off request is outputted by detecting an input interruption fault on the side of receiving in a receiving transponder RxPND of a Z terminal station 14, that request is assigned to an OSC and transferred to the upstream side by an OSC transmitter/receiver 102, an OSC transmitter/ receiver 84 of an OADM station 18 compares information presenting the result of Add/Drop processing under holding with the request and when the channel of that request is not multiplexed, the request is transferred to the upstream side as it is but when the channel is multiplexed, the optical output of a transponder in the station 18 according to the request is cut off. Then, the optical output is cut off according to the request by a transmitting transponder TxPND of an A terminal station 12 and such a cut-off state is held.
