Abstract:
To reduce the temperature distribution of an electrochemical cell and improve its durability.
In an electrochemical cell which is constituted of an oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte 1 and of a cathode 2 and an anode 3 that are formed on the both sides of the electrolyte 1, the cathode overvoltage is made larger than the anode overvoltage by varying respective electrode overvoltages by constituting the anode and the cathode from different materials or with different electrode structures.
