Abstract:

To provide a structure such as improving the whole efficiency of electrochemical reaction by preventing performance reduction from being caused by deviation of the electrochemical reaction in a gas flow passage of an electrochemical device.

A plate-like cell is provided with a solid electrolyte membrane, a first electrode installed on one surface of the solid electrolyte membrane and to be brought into contact with a first gas, and a second electrode installed on a second surface of the solid electrolyte membrane and to be brought into contact with a second gas. Electrochemical cells and inter connectors are laminated on each other. First flow passages 2A, 2B, 2C and second flow passages 3A, 3B for making a first gas A flow therein are formed by the inter connector 1. Widths of the first flow passages 2A, 2B, 2C become larger as they go from gas introduction holes toward gas exhaust holes. Widths of second flow passages 3A, 3B become smaller as they go from the gas introduction holes toward the gas exhaust holes.
